![]() ![]() I wouldn’t be surprised if we got a few more massive hits off of this album to compliment “Todo de Ti”. Not every track hits the mark but taken as a whole, this is an impressive release from the Puerto Rican artist. Rauw Alejandro takes a major step forward in establishing himself as a world class act. I would place more of that blame on Tainy for the weird synth sound that plagues the song. I also wasn’t a huge fan of “Y Eso?” with Tainy. The hardcore drumming EDM doesn’t really have a place here. Speaking of missing the mark, I really didn’t think that “Cuando Fue?” fit the album, or was a very good song. Not necessarily if you ask me but what do I know. It’s 17 seconds of audio telling us the next song is loaded. This almost doesn’t deserve to be discussed but I didn’t understand the purpose of “Track 4”. I wouldn’t be surprised if “Desenfocao” is the next song to end up high on the charts. Of all of the great tracks on the album, if I were a betting man, I would guess that “Cosa Guapa” or “Desenfocao” have the highest ceiling. This is an album to party to and to just kick back and relax to. He’s a multifaceted artist which makes his appeal that much greater. Rauw is able to produce fanastic songs in almost any genre. Raúl Alejandro Ocasio Ruiz ( San Juan, Puerto Rico 10 de enero de 1993 ), conocido artísticamente como Rauw Alejandro, es un cantante, compositor, productor musical y bailarín puertorriqueño. These songs are all pretty different from one another which is one of the big strengths of this album. Of the non-singles that standout to me on Vice Versa are “Aquel Nap ZzZz”, “Cosa Guapa”, “Sexo Virtual”, and “Tengo un Pal”. We have reggaeton, trap, R&B, funk, and synth pop all on one disc. Rauw has never been one to really box himself into one genre and this album goes a long way in proving he can master any genre. It covers so many different genres and eras in a way that makes them all feel fresh and new. The first thing that jumps out about this album is that it covers all of the bases. So, without further review, let’s talk about Vice Versa! Rauw Alejandro – Master of All This is only the 2nd album we’ve received from Rauw Alejandro after his November 2020 album Afrodisíaco.Īs I said in this week’s New Music Friday post, this is probably the most anticipated drop of the week. Rauw has been on an absolute tear this year with his hit Todo de Ti which many are calling the song of the summer.
